Draymond Green was ejected two minutes into the third quarter Monday night, and the Golden State Warriors still held off the Phoenix Suns 116-113 at Chase Center behind 34 points from Stephen Curry, per the AP recap on ESPN and the ESPN box score.
Golden State has won five straight after an 0-3 start and is 5-3. Phoenix fell to 1-4.
What happened with Green
According to the AP, Suns center Khaman Maluach pushed Green to the floor in the paint. Green got up, wrapped his arms around Maluach and threw him down. Dillon Brooks ran in, the two shoved, Green put a hand on Brooks' neck, and both got technicals. It was Green's second, and he was gone with four points in 17 minutes.

It flared up again with 7:26 left. Miles Bridges got a technical for running to the baseline and shoving Charles Bassey, who had his arms wrapped around Jalen Green's head while they fought for a rebound, the AP said.
Curry closed it
Curry finished with 34 points, seven assists and six rebounds and made 11 of 12 free throws. The AP said his miss with five seconds left was his first of the season after 51 straight makes. With Green gone, Curry carried the offense the rest of the way.
Bassey had a career-high 19 points and eight rebounds. Brandin Podziemski scored 20, and Georges Niang went 5 for 6 for 13 off the bench. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg had 16 points a night after his 37.
Phoenix let it slip
The Suns led 55-39 with 3:47 left in the second quarter before a 12-0 Golden State run, and Phoenix led for 71 percent of the game, per the box score. Devin Booker scored 26 but fouled out with 58 seconds left. Bridges had 21 and Brooks had 18 points and eight rebounds.
The RANT take
Phoenix had this one. It led by 16, it got the Warriors' most important defender thrown out, and it still lost because Booker fouled out and Curry kept getting to the line. For Golden State, beating a team in a game this chippy, mostly without Green, is the kind of win that holds up in April.
Phoenix hosts Portland on Wednesday. Golden State hosts Miami on Thursday. Watch for word from the league on Green and Brooks.
